Clarkin, Superman on snow

After a memorable run, which ended up with a fantastic goal, having touching the ball twice in the air, New Zealand´s John-Paul Clarkin not only gave the victory to Brioni and captured the World Snow title, but he also was named MVP of both the final and the tournament. As a result Brioni once again won the tournament, just like their previous win in 2007. Thus Brioni retained their 2007 title as well as beating the same rival, Cartier 8 1/2 - 6, in one of the most intense finals of the tournament's history.

Meanwhile, Maybach defeated Julius Baer, 4-3, and obtained the third place in the Mercedes Benz Cup, which also meant Maybach´s first victory in this tournament.

Many people attended the games at the frozen lake in St. Moritz and as a result of the hightened popularity preparations for next year´s event, to celebrate its 25th anniversary, have just begun.
