La Locura - Take me down to paradise city

It was a fantastic International Polo Cup, at St. Tropez Polo Club, in the paradise at the South of France, in where La Locura retained the title obtained in 2006, by beating HB Polo 9 1/2 - 8, in an exciting final.

The polo day started in the morning, when KP Polo won the Subsidiary Trophy, after beating Technomarine 9-8, through a goal by play scored by Juan Gris Zavaleta in the last second.

The match for the third place was held in the afternoon, when HB Polo defeated St. Tropez 9-8. By the third chukker, St. Tropez was leading 4-3. In the fourth things became tied 5-5, as St. Tropez scored some of the best goals of the day, courtesy of their best player, Santiago Irastorza. But even though things seemed easy for St. Tropez, HB Polo could recover in the last chukker, to finally claim the third place.

Finally, it was time for the big final. First chukker started with 2 1/2 - 1 for La Locura. After a narrow 4 1/2 - 3 in the second chukker, the winners took control of the match for the two following periods (6 1/2 - 3 and 7 1/2 - 5). Wasabi didn't give up that easily, as they came closer, but La Locura was solid enough led by their most outstanding player, Dario Musso. Let's say that Dario was injured in his right ankle during the last chukker, but he kept playing, anyway.

Romy Gianni, who was named MVP, was in charge of giving La Locura the two final goals and the title once again for his team.
