Indios Chapeleufú II won the first gem

The Triple Crown has one sole postulant. The unbeaten Indios Chapaleufú II team (37 goals) beat La Aguada Telmex (37 goals) by 14 - 11, in a luxury game, and obtained the Emilio de Anchorena Cup. This first and even match (they tied the game during 4 chukkers) was played by the two teams that have achieved the best collective work, the highest handicap worldwide in 2006, and with their own game outlook. Neither of these teams betrayed their conviction that they must practice classic polo, making the ball run from the very beginning without losing concentration on their mark, seeking to prevail by beating their opponents to it.

Chapaleufú II won their fifth Tortugas Open Tournament: 1990 and 1991 (with two current team members, Eduardo and Alberto Heguy), 2000, 2002 and 2006.

Indios Chapaleufú II:
Alberto Heguy (Jr.) 9, Ignacio Heguy (10), Milo Fernández Araujo (9) and Eduardo Heguy (9).

La Aguada Telmex:
Javier Novillo Astrada (9), Eduardo Novillo Astrada Jr. (9), Miguel Novillo Astrada (10) and Ignacio Novillo Astrada (9).

Indios Chapaleufú II:
2-1, 4-4, 4-4, 7-7, 9-9, 12-10 and 14-11
